PRODUCT HISTORY

From 9 presets to a platform.

The real evolution of ExamMint: launches, experiments, technical shifts, and what was retired along the way.

#01Nov 10, 2025
Retired (Feb 26, 2026)

Exam Notifications Launch

Launched an ad-free tracker aggregating recruitment notifications across UPSC, SSC, Railways, Banking, and State PSC boards.

Why it was retired: Government exam portals frequently modified HTML structures and PDF links without notice, requiring manual verification that conflicted with our zero-server philosophy.

ExamMint Resizer Launch

First client-side tool released with 9 exam presets. Engineered to run 100% in-browser on HTML5 canvas with zero server uploads, zero accounts, and zero ads.

#04Dec 2025 – Jan 2026
Growth Milestone

First Major Traffic Surge & 50+ Presets

Strict photo and signature upload rules for India Post GDS and Railway recruitment drove organic peer sharing, scaling daily search traffic to a peak of 2,763 clicks (Dec 30, 2025) and expanding presets past 50.

Active Product

ExamMint Verify Launch (UGC Data)

Built a client-side verification search tool indexing official University Grants Commission (UGC) registries to help students verify university approvals and spot fake institutions.

#05Jan – Feb 2026
Engineering Milestone

Web Workers & Memory Bounds

JEE College Predictor Launch

Released college and branch admission predictor using official JoSAA opening/closing ranks for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs with category, quota, and gender filters.

Retired Product

ExamMint Watch (Portal Uptime Monitor)

Built to alert students when high-traffic government application servers (SSC, UPSC) went down during last-minute application rushes.

Why it was retired: Government portal firewalls and rate limiters routinely blocked automated probe IPs while student traffic worked, producing unreliable false downtime alerts.
#07Feb 26, 2026
Engineering Milestone

Astro Modernization & Noticeboard Retired

Rebuilt exammint.in on a fast static Astro architecture for instant page loads, and formally retired the scraper-based Noticeboard to focus exclusively on zero-server tools.

#09May 16, 2026
Active Product

ExamMint Age Calculator Launch

Engineered an exact cutoff-date age eligibility calculator with built-in statutory relaxations for OBC, SC/ST, and PwD applicants across major competitive exams.

#10June 25 – July 10, 2026
Never Published

ExamMint Advisor Prototype

Engineered an interactive eligibility and syllabus matching engine across 36+ central and state competitive examinations, evaluating multi-tier degree streams, age relaxations, and educational equivalencies.

Why never published: Complex state gazette amendments and degree equivalency nuances created subjective edge cases that risked giving misleading guidance. Shelved as a private prototype.

ExamMint Tools for Institutes

Introduced custom tool integration allowing coaching centers, colleges, and educational portals to integrate ExamMint presets and tools directly into their student dashboards.

#14Sep 6 – 11, 2026
Retired Product

Free for Students (1-Week Experiment)

Curated directory of student perks and software discounts, shut down after 6 days.

Why it was retired: It was merely a static link directory with no computational value, diverging from our mission of client-side browser computation.
#15Sep 7, 2026 – Present
Active Scale

Traffic Peak (56,098 Clicks/24h)

Hit an all-time peak of 56,098 organic search clicks in 24 hours on Resizer alone, scaling the battle-tested 5-tool ecosystem at ₹0 server cost and zero ads.

PRODUCT INTEGRITY

Not everything I built made it here.

Some products were retired. Some were never released. Some ideas looked good in code but weren’t good enough in practice.

01.100% Client-Side Privacy

If a tool requires uploading photos, signatures, or documents to a server, it violates our core premise. Everything runs locally in browser memory.

02.Deterministic Math

ExamMint Advisor was shelved because automated matching had subjective edge cases. If a tool cannot be completely reliable, it shouldn’t be public.

03.Real Computation

Free for Students was retired after 6 days because it was merely a curated bookmark list. We focus on computational tools (Wasm resampling, grading formulas, JoSAA ranks).

04.Zero Degradation

Tools that break when government portals update their HTML (like Noticeboard or Watch) create maintenance debt. We build self-contained tools that stay working for years.
